Victorian Inn, located in Sparks, Nevada, is 10 minutes from the Reno Tahoe International Airport. The Inn is a 2-minute walk to Victorian Square and only three miles from downtown Reno.

I love the fact that the Victorian Inn offers a convenient location to explore nearby places, such as the University of Nevada and International Game Technology.

What’s more? This motel doesn’t skimp on freebies like free Wi-Fi and parking as some other hotels from my reviews may do. You don’t have to carry too many clothes because they conveniently provide laundry facilities.

This Victorian Inn Reno Nevada review is based on my first-hand experience and shows you what to expect during your stay in this popular hostel in Reno.

Victorian Inn Reno Nevada Review

The Victorian Inn, Reno, USA, is a 2-star motel that offered me a fantastic stay. I was well received and pampered from check-in to settling into my room.

Do they allow dogs on the premises? Yes, they do. My dog enjoyed its first hotel visit, and she loved the dog treats in the lobby and her own water bowl. Of course, you’ll have to pay a pet deposit of $50 per stay pet fee except for service animals, and you can only have a maximum of two per room, so like at the Modern Lofty Studio in Midtown Reno, group can not book here.

What I loved most was the well-insulated room, comfortable pillows, free Wi-Fi, and the shower had great water pressure.

The motel staff was exceptional. Everyone I came into contact with, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance, was professional and kind. They also went out of their way to help with whatever we needed.

Here are the property amenities in the motel:

  • Laundry services

  • Free Wi-Fi and air conditioning in the rooms

  • An elevator

  • Free parking

  • Bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and shower/tub

  • Cable TV

  • Kitchenette, microwave, and fridge

  • Pet-friendly room (2 pets (dogs only) per room allowed)

  • Wheelchair accessible path

As most other budget-friendly places to stay in Reno do, this motel serves continental breakfast. I also visited the Queen Grill & Chill and Port of Subs restaurants, which are a short drive from the hotel, for my lunch and dinner.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Pet-friendly
  • Great staff and service
  • Comfortable rooms
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Free self-parking

Cons

  • While I enjoyed the shower, some people might find it incredibly loud.

What Is There to Do at Victorian Inn?

During my stay, I visited the following popular attractions within the motel’s vicinity:

  • Rock Park
  • Sparks Marina Park
  • Western Wildlife Galleries
  •  Grand Sierra Resort Casino
  • Sparks Heritage Museum
  • Rail City Casino
  • Rancho San Rafael Park
  • Truckee River

If you want to enjoy a game or an event while in town, check out what’s happening at the Greater Nevada Field and Reno Events Center. The accommodation is close to the city center, but if you want to book your stay at the very heart of Reno, I reecommend the Travelodge by Wyndham located in Downtown Reno.

Why You Should Choose Victorian Inn

Victorian Inn is situated at 1555 Victorian Avenue in Sparks district, Reno, (4.8 km) 3 miles from the center and (3.2 km) 2 miles from the Reno Tahoe International Airport. You’ll love the convenience of their laundry services, and you can also book a room for non-smokers, though if you travel with your family or in a group, I'd recommend Rustic 2-Bedroom Walking Distance to Downtown Reno as a more suitable option.

Furthermore, for the best accommodation options, you can choose one of the three options available. Other amenities include a coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, and telephone.
