I'll bring you The Adolphus Autograph Collection in today's hotel review. It was always my dream to stay in a first luxury hotel, so when I got the opportunity to visit Dallas, Texas, the first destination to think of was the Adolphus Autograph Hotel. The historic hotel was Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s destination when they visited Dallas, Texas, in 1991. As a result, their portrait currently hangs in this hotel’s elegant lobby.
You can imagine how awestruck I was to walk into the lobby to see the portrait. Not only the queen but this luxury property was also the choice of three US presidents who had stayed there before, including George HW Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. So what kind of hotel is the Adolphus Autograph Collection? Read the following sections of this comprehensive The Adolphus Autograph Collection Dallas Texas review to discover why it is one of the most popular hotels in Downtown Dallas.
The Adolphus Autograph Collection Dallas Texas Review: A Quick Overview
Adolphus Busch launched the 22-story hotel in 1912, inspired by a Germanic castle. The hotel was the first luxury accommodation facility to be established in Downtown Dallas. It was my favorite choice since it's a historic accommodation destination modernized with contemporary luxury. On top of that, I was after something downtown to have easy access to numerous historic sites and the city’s finest restaurants.
I have been to Dallas, Texas, several times, and this top-notch hotel has always been my home away from home. It is right across Dallas Street from the city’s central business district and the AT&T Discovery District – a fun outdoor public/hangout art area and a walking distance to the historic West End and the 6th Floor Museum.
However, the Adolphus is generally more upscale and likely comes with a higher price point compared to the more budget-friendly Hampton Inn & Suites or Hyatt Regency Dallas Texas.
Property Highlights
Based on my first-hand experience, this gorgeous hotel offers almost an endless list of property amenities, which include valet parking, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, meeting rooms, a pet-friendly, full-service spa, free local areas shuttle up to three miles, and free full breakfast.
Main Amenities and for Families
Whether you’re planning to travel with your younger family, solo, or with friends, Adolphus Autograph Collection offers some major amenities that'll make your Dallas tour memorable. The main amenities that ensured my stay at this hotel was a bright one are; a 24-hour fitness center, four top-notch restaurants, three lounges/bars, a fully-equipped spa, lobby bar, pool bar, and valet service.
As I mentioned earlier, the hotel is a home away from home for families, and in line with this, it offers children stay free, adjoining/connecting rooms, infant/cots beds, flat-screen TV with premium channels, a terrace, and daily housekeeping.
Rooms and Suites
I determined through my stay at this hotel that it offers a celebrated city’s history and heritage of Dallas accommodation that is at once contemporary and classic, timeless and yet full of exciting discoveries and moments. During the booking process, I was presented with state-of-the-art room options to pick from, including Luxury Suites, Executive Suites, and Deluxe Rooms. Every guest at this facility will discover that each room presents a retreat full of king beds as well as custom soothing amenities.
The hotel's large rooms and suites make it family-friendly, while other room options are ideal for those who travel alone. These rooms feature some amazing amenities which you’ll find handy during your stay, ranging from terry cloth robes, fine linens, high-speed Wi-Fi, workspace, flat-screen TV, mini bar and wet bar, and turndown service to tea service and coffee machine.
The facility is perfect for every type of guest, as each room and suite offers uninterrupted Downtown Dallas views, a curated artwork selection, and gleaming hardwood floors. It doesn't matter whether you're in for executive board meetings, once-on-a-lifetime family getaways, or romantic honeymoons; the 407 rooms available will all offer distinct experiences.
Food and Drink
From a delicious breakfast to a decent pastry or cozy dinner, dining at this hotel features inspired local dishes and attentive services. The on-site dining options available, including City Hall Bistro, Tea at The Adolphus, Otto’s Coffee Shop, the French Room Bar, and the Redeo Bar, all feature curated menus while striving to provide thoughtful, unique experiences to meet the tastes of different guests.
Apart from these on-site bars and restaurants, nearby hotels in the city center also offer great options ranging from salads and Queso to Smash Burgers and egg sandwiches. Other restaurant and bar options that provided me with the best dining services and are available between a two- and three-minute walk include Jaxon Beer Garden, Wing Bucket, Twisted Trompo, Frankie's, and Pegasus City Brewery.
On the other hand, if you want a fully-equipped kitchen for self-prepared meals, staying in apartment-type hotels such as the Jurny Downtown Dallas Apartments Texas could be your accommodation of choice.

On the other hand, those on a business trip, may prefer Omni Dallas Hotel with a direct access to the Convention Center.

Spa Adolphus and Pool
My favorite feature was always the full-service spa as it offered me a perfect location in Downtown Dallas’s Historic District to chill out at an affordable facility fee. I have always enjoyed body therapies, massages, and facials at this spa; additional services include men's treatments, salon services, and nails.
It doesn't matter whether you want a hot stone massage, aromatherapy massage, brighten and tone facial, biomineral probiotic facial, CBD manicure, paraffin enhancement makeup application, or haircut; you'll find everything at Adolphus Collection.

To ensure the whole facility is clean and a safe place for all guests, Adolph Autograph follows the Commitment to Clean Marriot and SafeStay AHLA – USA's best cleaning and disinfection practices.
