These property amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a business center, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, free parking, laundry service, an outdoor tennis court, and tea/coffee in common areas. The kitchen, sofa bed, and a separate sitting area are additional amenities for younger adults with families.

Room Types and Features

Booking my first room was challenging, even if the process was a straightforward one. The main issue was that I was presented with more than eight room options to choose from. I had to research thoroughly about these rooms before landing a perfect match.

The rooms I had to pick from were Studio 1 King Bed with Sofa Bed No Smoking, Studio 1 Queen Bed with Sofa Bed Non-Smoking, and Suite 1 Bedroom Non-Smoking and Suite 1 Bedroom Accessible Non-Smoking Hearing/Mobility.

It doesn’t matter whether you need family rooms, accessible rooms, or a one-bedroom queen suite; you'll find an excellent option that meets or even exceeds your expectations. Each guest room includes high-quality amenities covering different categories, including entertainment, home comfort, comfortable sleep, room refresh and stay connected.

In line with these categories, Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa at USF guest room features include free Wi-Fi, phone, desk, roll-in shower, swimming pool towels, toilet paper, free toiletries, a private bathroom, and a separate sitting area. Enhanced Cleanliness Measures

In my experience, the property Residence Inn has enhanced hygiene and cleanliness guest safety measures in place. The entire property is cleaned and disinfected with an electrostatic spray. Disinfectants are used to clean the facility, while commonly touched surfaces are thoroughly cleaned with disinfectants between stays.

Towels are laundered at a minimum temperature of 60oC, and guest doors are locked after cleaning using guest doors' secondary locks. Personal protective equipment ranging from masks to gloves, is available to workers and guests. Contactless check-in and out is available, and improved food service safety protocols are in place, including individually wrapped food options.

The facility guarantees that it follows the Commitment to Clean by Marriott cleaning and disinfection practices and guidelines, which include Covid-19 Guidelines, Safety AHLA USA, and Ecolab Global.

Required at Check-In and Special Instructions

The check-in and check-out times that this hotel offers are convenient for both solo travelers and those who travel with family. And one thing I discovered is that the facility requires straightforward-to-obtain check-in requirements, which include government-issued check-in photo identification and cash, debit card, or credit card deposit required for incidental concerns. The front desk staff welcomes and greets guests before starting their wonderful walk-and-stay journey in South Florida.

Food and Drink

One thing I enjoyed most during my wonderful tour was the complimentary fully prepared breakfast served between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM on weekdays and between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM on weekends.

Tea/coffee in common areas, BBQs, and lots of restaurants nearby offer extra dining options. Some of the restaurants I paid a visit to and enjoyed their delicious local dishes include Chick-Fil-A, McDonald's, Starbucks, and CiCi's Pizza.
