During my recent trip to New York City, I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful hotel Pendry Manhattan West. As a frequent traveler with hundreds of reviews under my belt, I was excited to see what one of the top hotels in NYC had to offer. In the Pendry Manhattan West New York State review, I'll share my experience with the hotel, including the pros and cons, property amenities, and my thoughts on the overall stay.

Pendry Manhattan West New York State Review

Pendry Manhattan is a gorgeous hotel located in the heart of Manhattan West, New York City. With its prime location close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, the hotel is the perfect base for exploring the city. Offering a range of well-appointed rooms and excellent dining options, as well as a fitness club and other property features, Pendry Manhattan is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. In this review, we will take a closer look at the hotel, including its pros and cons, FAQs, and our personal experience staying there.

Location and Accessibility

The Pendry Manhattan is situated in the heart of Manhattan West, a new development in Manhattan's West Side, between the Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen neighborhoods just a few blocks from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Its proximity to these two facilities makes it convenient to get around the city, while the well-lit path to the hotel entrance provides a safe and welcoming environment for guests. The hotel is also within walking distance of the High Line and Central Park which I often went to.

The great location is convenient for those traveling by public transportation, and the hotel is easily accessible from several subway lines. However, as with any hotel in the heart of the city, there is some street noise that can be heard from the rooms. Lots of fantastic restaurants and shops that I visited are within easy walking distance.

The hotel is perfect place to spend a romantic getaway, while those traveling solely for business reasons will be better off in nearby mid-range hotels such as the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station or the Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West.

Check-in Process and Desk Staff

The check-in process at the Pendry Manhattan West was smooth, although the front desk seemed slightly overwhelmed due to the hotel's popularity. However, they were friendly and helpful, greeting guests with warm smiles.

The front desk will greet guests on arrival. Overall, the front desk was professional and courteous, making the check-in process quick and efficient.

Room Amenities

I stayed in a corner studio suite, which provided breathtaking views of the city through the ceiling windows, though when it comes to the view solely, I still think nothing can beat the Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

The room itself was comfortable and clean, with modern furnishings and plenty of space. The bathroom was well-appointed, with a spacious shower room and a soaking tub. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was well-lit, making it easy to work or relax. However, the room was slightly smaller than an average hotel room.

Property Features

The Pendry Manhattan West offers fantastic amenities, including a fitness center, Bar Pendry, and the hotel restaurant, Zou Zou's. The fitness place was well-equipped, and the restaurant served delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Bar Pendry was a great spot to relax and grab a drink after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel also offers fantastic coffee and fresh-baked pastries in the morning, providing a perfect start to the day.

However, the hotel does not have a swimming pool or spa, which may be a drawback for some guests. If that's a deal breaker for you, check out the nearby Arlo Midtown Hotel where you can relax and unwind using in-room spa services.

You can choose from the all-day coffee menu in the Garden Room Lounge off reception, beneath an art installation of translucent panels by John Wigmore. I was able to rest easy knowing there was a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, a security system, a first aid kit, and window guards on site.

Service and Accessibility

The hotel offers free WiFi throughout the property, which worked well during my stay. The hotel also offers room service, and the staff was attentive and prompt when I needed something.

The hotel is pet-friendly, and service animals are welcome. Additionally, the hotel offers extra beds. The hotel also offers free cancellation, which is a nice feature for those who need flexibility in their travel plans
