I was staying at a hotel that's located near the riverwalk and just a 10-minute walk from the Alamo and River Walk. They have an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and fitness room that I can use. I love that they provide free coffee or tea in my room and free Wi-Fi is available in each hotel room.
I've learned that the San Antonio Zoo is 3.2 miles (5.15 kilometers) from Hampton Inn San Antonio, and the San Antonio International Airport is 8.1 miles (13.04 kilometers) away from the property. This hotel has become a favorite area for visitors in San Antonio. Additionally, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the Shops at Rivercenter are within walking distance.

The good location of Hampton Inn San Antonio Downtown makes it a prime choice for travelers looking to stay close to the city's top attractions. Within a mere 10-minute walk, guests can reach Alamo and Henry B. González Convention Center
This hotel boasts excellent amenities, including an outdoor pool where guests can relax and a bar/lounge where they can enjoy a refreshing drink. Additionally, visitors can take advantage of the fitness center and the snack bar/deli during their stay.
Before my visit, a few of my friends praised the attentive staff and great breakfast, making this hotel an excellent choice for anyone visiting San Antonio.

Not to be confused with the Hampton Inn & Suites San Antonio Riverwalk, which offer direct access to the popular attraction, Hampton Inn & Suites San Antonio provides free hot breakfast and laundry, and fitness equipment. The 108 very clean rooms at Hampton Inn & Suites are spacious and range from standard guest rooms with one king-size bed or two queen beds to studio suites.
My room was equipped with cable television, an air con unit, and a fridge. I also have access to several rooms with coffee makers, hair dryers, and ironing stations. That said, if you are looking for a longer stay and a home-like experience Candlewood Suites San Antonio Lackland AFB Area, with amenities like fully equipped kitchens could be a better option.
The Hampton Inn San Antonio Downtown also offers free parking, laundry, and a centralized cashier's office, which is convenient for me.

If you are not planning to use the pool or a fitness center at all, staying in a hotel like La Hacienda Inn San Antonio will probably be a more affordable option.
Staff
The front desk staff at the Hampton Inn were friendly and helpful. They were happy to answer any questions I had and provided recommendations on things to do and see in the area.
